Wisdom of Tenderness

A person that I consider the one molding myself through his writing is Brennan Manning, when I first read one of his books I was amazed of the grace and realness oh his words. Since that day I have used his books as part of my daily devotionals because they help me to see God with the eyes of Grace through the eyes of a broken one. He says, “We are surrounded by people who are hungry and thirsty and naked in their soul, and they come to us hungry for understanding, thirsty for affirmation, naked with loneliness, and wanting to be covered with the mantle of our genuine tenderness. When we befriend our own brokenness and minster to our own wounds with tenderness and compassion, the “other” is no longer an intruder but a fellow sufferer”(Brennan Manning, The Wisdom of Tenderness)
